Organised by the UrbanBetter Johannesburg Cityzens Hub, this activation seeks to bring together Soweto based running clubs, cycling communities, youth advocates and community members for a high-energy morning of movement, learning, impact and revisiting the 1976 Soweto Youth Uprising March route. The activation will start at Morris Isaacson High School, snake through Mputhi Street into Khumalo Street. It will incept at Vilakazi and Phefeni Street , pass the Hector Pieterson Memorial for a moment of silence and finish at the Bapedi Hall in Meadowlands, Soweto.
