Join us for an exceptional community-driven walk as we build on the much-anticipated Urban Renewal Project by the Go Down Arts Centre. Guided by our dedicated UrbanBetter Run Leaders , easily recognizable in their blue shirts, and Community Representatives from the area, this event promises a blend of activity, advocacy, and actionable insights.
During the run, some of our leaders will collect air quality data using wearable sensors, while others will document key observations of the natural and built environment. Factors such as walkability, risks, and assets impacting urban health will be noted and keyed into the Cityzens App, ensuring that the voice of the community is part of the conversation.
This route will showcase the rich diversity of the area, taking participants through industrial zones, alongside major highways, through informal settlements, and along the scenic yet vulnerable Ngong River.
This walk offers more than just an opportunity to explore. It’s a platform to network with key stakeholders, exchange knowledge, and share perspectives on urban renewal, health, and sustainability. The insights gathered during this event will not only fuel meaningful discussions but also contribute to actionable recommendations that could shape policies and enrich the Urban Renewal Project.
Let’s walk, connect, and make a difference—step by step!
